The challenge

Ravn is a 150-person digital product studio delivering custom software, staff augmentation and end-to-end product work for startups, mid-sized businesses and enterprises. Its growth from four people had come almost entirely through reputation, referrals and the quality of its work, without a single dedicated sales hire.

That organic model had taken the business a long way, but growth was beginning to plateau. Ravn knew it could win once it got in the room; the challenge was creating more of those opportunities. With no cold-outreach strategy, top-of-funnel system or internal resources to build one, the team needed a credible way into a market where software development is difficult to sell cold.

The result

The managed outbound programme kept Ravn's pipeline fresh and created a regular flow of new leads while freeing the team to focus on more strategic initiatives. Micah attributed $4m in new pipeline solely to the campaign. The result far exceeded Ravn's expectations at the start of the relationship.

The engagement also changed the team's view of outbound. A business that had believed relationships were the only way to sell saw that cold outreach could work when it combined informed targeting, relevant messaging and a system built to learn rather than simply send.
